Companies House discovery help

Learn how the Companies House source is used for new-company discovery, dashboard filtering, research links and exports.

What does the Companies House source do?

It pulls recently incorporated UK company records from Companies House public records into the Datplan DataPull app. The output can be reviewed in dashboard data tables and filtered for research and market discovery.

  1. Open the app and choose the Companies House source where available.
  2. Run the discovery pull for the recent discovery window.
  3. Review the dashboard data table and filter by sector, business activity, town/city, postcode area, company type or company status.
  4. Use the Companies House profile link or Google Search link to continue manual research.

Google Search links are generated for research convenience only. Datplan does not control or verify external Google Search results.

What is not included?

The Companies House source does not provide verified email addresses, telephone numbers, domains, websites, directors, PSC data, filing history or credit-risk information as part of the standard discovery source.

Use the source for discovery and research. Do not treat it as a verified contact database or credit-risk service.

Source provider and data accuracy caveat

Source provider limits apply. Datplan does not own or control third-party source services. All source access is subject to the relevant provider’s API availability, rate limits, tenant/account allowances, service availability, and terms.

Source data is not created by Datplan. Datplan pulls and presents data supplied by the selected source provider. Datplan is not responsible for the completeness, timeliness, legality, accuracy, or suitability of third-party source data. Users should review source records before making business, credit, sales, compliance, or legal decisions.
